The Real Paul Harris: A Threat to Our Rights

Paul Harris (R) presents himself as a moderate, but his record tells a different story. Over his career, Harris has consistently voted against reproductive rights, ignoring the will of the people in our district.

In his 2006 State Representative questionnaire, Harris vowed to work "diligently" on an anti-abortion agenda, and he has stayed true to that extremist stance, voting against reproductive freedoms time and time again

He has voted 17 times to restrict abortion rights, including:

  • 2023: HB1340 (three times), HB1469, SB5242, SB5768, SB5187

  • 2022: HB1851 (two times)

  • 2021: HB1009

  • 2019: SB5602 (two times), SB6219

  • 2015: HB1647

  • 2014: HB2148

  • 2013: HB1044

  • 2012: HB2330

His record earned him a 0% rating from NARAL Pro-Choice Washington. Harris is clearly out of touch with the values and priorities of our district.

Paul Harris's Record on Reproductive Freedom

In 2023, he voted three times against HB1340, a bill aimed at safeguarding reproductive freedom.

He opposes over-the-counter emergency contraception.²

We can't trust him to protect our rights, from abortion access to IVF.

Paul Harris: Bought and Paid For by Special Interests

Paul Harris’s political career is predominantly funded by special interests, showing where his true loyalties lie. As of the latest filings, over 90% of his funding comes from businesses, PACs, and political organizations.³

Harris has taken tens of thousands of dollars from big insurance companies.⁴ While we're facing a healthcare crisis of rising costs and declining access, Harris is standing up for the special interests that fund him – not for us.

Reminder:

Election Day is November 5th.

This is our chance to reject Paul Harris’s extreme and out-of-touch record. Our district deserves leaders who fight for the values and needs of our community, not anti-choice politicians beholden to special interests.
